The novel golden non-fibre linseed agaGOLDSTERN® was exclusively bred for agaSAAT® and was approved in April 2015 by the Bundessortenamt (German Federal Bureau for Cultivars). agaGOLDSTERN® is grown on carefully chosen acreage across Europe and is analysed microbiologically and for purity and residues at our own state-of-the-art laboratory as well as external accredited laboratories. Additionally, we test the linseed for contamination with GMOs and for cadmium content.
Why agaGOLDSTERN® ?
agaGOLDSTERN® was bred to be used in the pharmaceutical industry and human medicine. Therefore, besides its impressive appearance, agaGOLDSTERN® scores with a good grain quality and cultivation characteristics. The non-fibre linseed is characterised by above average swellability and a high thousand grain weight. Additionally, agaGOLDSTERN® is quite tolerant to adverse weather conditions before harvest. Therefore, agaGOLDSTERN® retains its golden colour and grain quality despite poor weather conditions.
Compared to other linseed cultivars, linseed oil from agaGOLDSTERN® is particularly salubrious and mild. When processed into linseed flouragaGOLDSTERN® , with its golden appearance and a slightly nutty flavour, is a unique addition to any pastry or muesli and can give a special twist to gluten-free baked goods. Unprocessed agaGOLDSTERN® linseed used as decoration or part of your breakfast muesli adds plenty of taste and pizazz to your day.
